This is the first description of leishmaniasis in a ferret, efficiently and diligently worked, as always, by Jacobo Giner from Centro Veterinario Menescalia, with the collaboration of the University of Zaragoza and published in Veterinary Parasitology: Regional Studies and Reports 19: 100369, 2020 . doi: 10.1016 / j.vprsr.2020.100369. With this publication, Jacobo won the 2nd award of the 2020 Scientific Awards of the Ilustre Colegio de Veterinarios of Valencia.
