Diagnosing outbreaks of neonatal mortality in chicks of endangered avian species (Mexican golden eagle, horned guan, scarlet macaw) caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa in a nursery involved in captive breeding programs. Diagnosis was followed by an epizootiological study with identification of the source of infection and risk factors, which allowed prevention of additional outbreaks - ''Diagnostic investigation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in chicks of golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), scarlet macaw (Ara macao) and horned guan (Oreophasis derbianus) in captivity.''
