Systemic spirorchiidiasis in European pond turtles (Emys orbicularis)

Description of the 2 first cases of systemic spirorchiidiasis in European pond turtles in Spain (and a posterior outbreak) in collaboration with GREFA, an apparently emergent disease in this species in Spain that we diagnosed after these first 2 cases in wild pond turtles as the cause of an outbreak of mortality in the northwest of Spain.
