Pathology of avian eggs and embryos

Failure of avian breeding programs due to reduced hatching of eggs requires the performance of necropsies with sampling of eggs using a specialized protocol. Performing necropsies on unhatched avian eggs may be often essential to identify and fix some of the factors that negatively impact the success of commercial or conservation breeding programs.

Noah's Path wants to potentiate the submission of avian eggs for necropsy in order to contribute to determine the causes of reproductive failure in captive breedings programs set for conservation, private breeding or commercial strategies. Since a single egg may not be representative of an episode of embryonic mortality, a 30% off will be offered for the second egg submitted from a single mortality event, 50% for the third, and 60% for fourth and additional eggs. These discounts are offered only for 2015 and only apply to the necropsy fee (included histopathology); the costs of histotechnology or additional diagnostic techniques are not included.
